Subrealism – Bracha Ettinger | Events

An events website for Subrealism: A Series of Events on the Work of Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger is now available here:

On the website you will find an abstract for the Masterclass with Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger and other information, such as travel directions and accommodation. The website will be continually updated between now and the 8 October when the events commence.

We have also included links to download the suggested readings for the events here:

Ettinger, B. L. (2005), ‘Copoiesis’ in Ephemera: Theory and Politics in Organization, Vol. 5 X, 703-713
Ettinger, B. L. (2009), ‘Fragilization and Resistance’ in Studies in the Maternal 1.2
Ettinger, B. L. (2011) ‘Uncanny Awe, Uncanny Compassion and Matrixial Transjectivity Beyond Uncanny Anxiety’ in FLS, Vol XXXVIII

The chosen readings reflect Ettinger’s shift from the Matrixial to Ettingerian studies, which this series of events marks.

Apart from the individual events that you are presenting at or attending, you are all cordially invited to the launch of Demeter Eurydice Medusa-Butterfly, an exhibition of Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger’s new video works and recent notebooks. The exhibition runs from 8-24 October 2014 and is being hosted by the Illuminations Gallery, Department of English, Maynooth University. The launch of the exhibition takes place on Wednesday 8 October at 7pm in the Illuminations Gallery in the Iontas Building, Mayooth University, please feel free to pass this invitation onto colleagues and friends.
