Derived from still imagery, Miguel Mitlag’s Standard Fantastic experiments with simultaneous moving images across multiple screen. Apparently random chops of uncertain reality are stitched together as a dynamic fresco of unproductive situations … fruits till and collide, chance causes accidents, clouds pass by at high speed, useless yellow pages books wait to be consulted, a jammed clock on a wall stops time and fragments it.

Miguel Mitlag was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

In 2018 he presented Mirrored Slapstic Atmosphere, a site-specific Installation in Jaou Tunis and Días Malos at Casa de America, Madrid; Nueva casa para Buster, Solo Projects Arco Madrid 2016, La sociedad me hace mentir, Arte BA 2015. In 2014 the photo-installation Listen to this, watch that! at the Art Berlin Contemporary Fair. 

Among his experimental and documentary films are: 3 Films (2022), Shoes and other things (2021), Nico(2021), Carrots Movie Tape (2020), Hairdresser 1 (2014), A Story of Trash Rococo (2009) and Diner with Suarez (1998).
